Rick Antelli Announces Campaign for Re-Election

Sunday, July 24th, 2011

Today, Monroe County Legislator Rick Antelli announced his candidacy for re-election to the 7th District.  Rick was first appointed to the Legislature in 2009 and was elected by his constituents in November of that year.  Since that time, Rick has become Chair of the Intergovernmental Relations Committee and serves on the Public Safety Committee.

“I am proud to continue representing the interests of Greece and Charlotte taxpayers and announce that I am seeking re-election to the Monroe County Legislature,” said Antelli. “I am honored to have partnered with County Executive Maggie Brooks to deliver stable property taxes and supported solid job creation and retention efforts that are moving our economy in the right direction.  With the support of my friends, neighbors and fellow residents in the Towns of Greece and Charlotte, I will continue fighting to protect local taxpayers.”

In announcing the launch of his re-election campaign, Antelli outlined his experience as a former Greece Town Councilman and local small business owner as two qualifications that will continue to serve him well on the County Legislature.

“Throughout my time as a County Legislator I have continued to meet many residents and listened to their concerns regarding many of the everyday challenges they face in these difficult economic times. With their continued support, I will keep putting our taxpayers first and keep their best interests in mind.”

Antelli also announced the launch of rickantelli.com, a state-of-the art new website that will serve as the online hub for his campaign. The new platform features the latest in online connectivity, including full social media integration. Residents are encouraged to visit the site to learn more about Antelli’s experience, to volunteer to help the campaign, or to make a donation.
